At least that appears to be logic of Itawamba Agricultural High School in Mississippi. Senior Constance McMillen wanted to bring her girlfriend to senior program, but instead of letting the couple attend, the school decided to punish everyone by canceling prom. McMillen told the Clarion Ledger:
“Oh, my God. That’s really messed up because the message they are sending is that if they have to let gay people go to prom that they are not going to have one. A bunch of kids at school are really going to hate me for this, so in a way it’s really retaliation.”
We certainly hope there won’t be a retaliation, is it is of course not McMillen’s fault. Feel free though to retaliate against the school by emailing them your outrage.
